An Emmy Award-winning actress has sadly just passed away. Olivia Cole died in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico at the age of 75. At this time, the cause of her death is unknown.
Cole is best known for her role in the iconic television series, “Roots.” She also played in “The Women of Brewster Place.” Her agent confirmed her death to Variety, according to reports.
Cole’s death comes at a sad time for her family. Cole’s mother had also recently passed away and her ex-husband, another actor as well, also died just a month ago.

Cole played in numerous films and programs over the years. She was able to win an Emmy Award for best-supporting actress for her portrayal of Matilda on the 1977 miniseries, “Roots.”. The show would go on to become a legendary series in American history.
